Ordinary life is
rather extraordinary.
LOVE YOUR HOME. TEND IT WELL.
A home. A table. The people we love. The seasons that come and go.
The meals we make, the rooms we live in, the things we keep, the traditions we return to, and the ordinary moments that become the stories of our lives.
Well Tended is about noticing all of it, and tending it well.
Welcome Home
There is a beautiful life happening here.
Not someday.
Not when the house is finished, the kitchen is renovated, the right furniture arrives, or life finally looks the way we imagined it would.
Here. Now.
Well Tended is a celebration of the ordinary things that make a life—home, food, people, traditions, stories and seasons—and what happens when we choose to care for them intentionally.
We don't believe a beautiful life has to be perfect.
We believe it has to be noticed.
So come in.
There's coffee somewhere.
There are many ways to tend a life.
Rooms we live in. Things collected slowly. Making a place yours with what you have.
Home
Recipes, hospitality, ritual, and the people who pull up a chair.
Table
People. Memories. Heirlooms. The things we carry and the things worth keeping.
Stories
Noticing time as it passes, and tending the rituals that help us remember it.
Seasons
Come cook with me. Food is the beginning. The table is the story.
Well Tended Table
I have wanted my own cooking show for as long as I can remember.
So I finally made one.
Well Tended Table is a cooking show about good food, gathering people you love, and making something wonderful out of an ordinary meal.
We're cooking the recipes I actually make at home—the ones passed down, picked up along the way, changed a dozen times, or made simply because they sounded good.
There will be Sunday dinners and weeknight favorites. Recipes worth keeping. Probably a little too much butter. People wandering into the kitchen. And something good waiting at the table.
Because around here, cooking isn't a performance.
It's just one more way we tend the people we love.
I thought I was making my home beautiful.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I was learning how to notice my life.
Hi, I'm A'Leah.
I live in a 1,100 sq. ft. apartment beneath my parents' home, where I've spent the last few years painting things, moving furniture, cooking dinner, collecting old things, setting tables, loving my people and slowly learning that the life I kept waiting for was already happening.
Well Tended grew from that realization.
This isn't a place about having the perfect home.
It's a place about loving the one that's holding your life right now.
I'm so glad you found us.
